Me and James took a little trip to Clovelly at the end of summer as it’s somewhere I’ve always wanted to go. Clovelly is a little fishing village in North Devon, which is privately owned by one family (& has been since 1738!). It claims to be one of the most beautiful villages in the world and I can’t argue with that. Just look at the pictures!
Clovelly is like something out of a history book, with cute, cobbled, winding streets. There are no cars allowed in Clovelly village. However, there is a free car park at the top of the hill, you then enter via a gift shop where you pay to access the village and trek downhill into Clovelly, passing little fisherman’s cottages along the way. It is very steep so I would recommend wearing something other than flip flops…like me.
Me and James just strolled down the streets, going into the shops and having some lunch and ice cream, even though it wasn’t the best weather. If you are ever in this part of the world, its definitely worth a visit!
