Hello! How are we all? I hope you are all Okay!
Today, I thought I would share some of my current staple makeup pieces in my make-up bag. These are products that I reach for on a daily basis (apart from the lipstick which I alternate between red and nude). Wild, I know.
Chanel Lipstick in Shade Arthur-
Sorry if you’re sick of me talking about this lipstick! I have mentioned it in my Beauty Favourites of 2018, and its definitely a firm favourite of 2019 (so far, so good!).
The formula is ‘Rouge Coco’ which is a hydrating formula that glides onto the lips and doesn’t leave them dry (& my lips are so dry in this weather!). Another thing I love about this lipstick is that even though it is red, due to it being hydrating, it leaves as slight sheen to the the lips, so is a little more under stated than a Matte finish. Perfect if you want to try wearing a red lipstick in the day but are a little afraid!
Soap and Glory SuperCat Eyeliner –
This is my favourite liquid liner ever. I use liquid liner almost everyday and I have tried sooo many in the past, nothing comes close to this one. Not even the more expensive brands.
First of all, the pigment is amazing. It’s true black (doesn’t dry a strange blue/grey tone which some do?! Does anyone else find this?) and doesn’t flake away throughout the day, which is perfect for a long day at work! Also, the nib is great, it has a fine point at the end so you can create a more delicate and thin line, or by using the thick edge of the nib, you can create something a little more dramatic.
Bobbi Brown Smokey Eye Mascara
Again, I have talked about this product before here if you fancy having a nosey. But yes, this is a mascara that I repeat buy and use daily. Like I have mentioned previously, I have quite long lashes that don’t really do anything. However, I find that this mascara gives them lots of volume but isn’t too heavy and holds the curl. It is also not clumpy, no matter how many coats I put on, which is something that is important to me when looking for a mascara. I don’t like clumps.
Bobbi Brown Full Coverage Face Brush
If you are looking for a new foundation brush, this is it. I can honestly say it’s the best foundation brush I have ever used. It is suitable for both powder and liquid formulas (I also use this for my cream blush), and blends my foundation into my skin so effortlessly, leaving no lines around my jawline or any patchy areas. It takes no time at all to put my foundation on (which is what I want in the morning!). As I previously mentioned, I also use this brush for blending in my cream blush (also from Bobbi Brown) and my concealer.
This foundation brush is also the perfect size for getting into any hard to reach areas such as around the nose area and under the eyes and fits wonderfully into my make-up bag (yayy!).
There you have my round up of a few of the staple pieces in my makeup bag. Let me know in the comments below what your all time favourite products are, or if you have used any of the products I have mentioned above 🙂

The only one of these I’ve used is the Supercat eyeliner and I did love it until I gave up with eyeliner completely! My staple makeup pieces are a Real Techniques blending sponge, Maybelline 24hr Superstay foundation and Rimmel Stay Matte powder!
